Windsor Ontario‘s Joi Hurst Morrison puts together a peaceful walk, coalition for justice unity equity movement, for #WalkForJustice . Honouring the late George Floyd and protesting against police brutality. “We will walk peacefully and 6ft apart...so they (Windsor Police) can’t shut us down” Morrison announces. “Windsor police called and asked us ‘What can we do to help’ thats how amazing our Police team is” Says Morrison.

Signage was seen all throughout the coalition for justice unity equity movement and peaceful walk with phrases such as “I can’t breathe,” “Say their names!” and “Black Lives Matter” remembering all the Black Lives that were lost at the hands of police brutality. “We expected maybe 25-30 people to show up today...” Morrison explains in tears. “But look how many people made it...” She says to a large crowd nearing the hundreds.


Derek Chauvin, was arrested on Friday and faces charges of third-degree murder and manslaughter, according to Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman.
